Hitachi Central Air Conditioning World Premiere SET-FREE Double New Products Promote Low-Carbon Technology Upgrade in Refrigeration Industry

On April 27, the 36th International Exhibition on Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Heating, Ventilation and Food Freezing and Processing (hereinafter referred to as “2025 China Refrigeration Exhibition”) opened at the Shanghai New International Expo Center. With the theme of “Intelligent Cooling and Heating, Sharing the Future”, the exhibition covered the whole industrial chain of technology, products and solutions.

Qingdao Hisense Hitachi Air Conditioning Marketing Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as “Hitachi Central Air Conditioning”) appeared at the exhibition under the theme of “Carbon and AI”, and made its global debut of SET-FREE RIII in response to the demand for energy-saving renovation of buildings and low-carbon industries. In response to the energy-saving transformation of buildings and industrial low-carbon demand, the company made its global debut of SET-FREE RIII, a new series of top-exit multi-connected units, and two new products of SET-FREE, demonstrating Hitachi's profound technical accumulation in the field of refrigeration and air conditioning.

Wang Xuebin, General Manager of Qingdao Hisense Hitachi Air Conditioning Marketing Co., Ltd. said that Hitachi Central Air Conditioning takes “social innovation” as its mission and is committed to realizing the leap from technology pioneer to ecological builder. At present, the company has taken the lead in completing the digital transformation, and made breakthroughs in the fields of AI energy efficiency optimization, zero-carbon algorithm model, and new energy coupling technology. For example, the world's innovative condensing heat recovery technology not only significantly improves comprehensive energy efficiency, but also provides free domestic hot water for buildings through waste heat recovery, truly realizing the promise of “zero waste of energy”.

In addition, in order to accelerate the process of carbon neutrality, Hitachi Central Air Conditioning will establish the industry's first “product whole life cycle carbon management platform” in 2024, and join hands with 430 industrial chain partners around the world to promote the large-scale application of lightweight materials and low-carbon manufacturing processes. Up to now, Hitachi Central Air Conditioning's green factories have achieved a 41% reduction in carbon emissions at the product end and a 16% reduction in carbon emissions in the production process, and plan to achieve carbon neutrality for the whole industrial chain by 2030, contributing to Hitachi's solutions for global sustainable development.

Luo Jijie, Honorary Chairman of the Building Environment and Energy Application Branch of China Survey and Design Association and National Engineering Survey and Design Master, said that Hitachi brand has always stood at the forefront of technology. From the invention of the world's first scroll compressor for air conditioning in 1983 to the deep fusion of intelligent control and AI technology today, Hitachi has continued to break through industry boundaries with hundreds of technology patents. Especially in the level of environmental responsibility, Hitachi will “green gene” through the whole process of product design, production and manufacturing, and explore the path of decarbonization with industry partners to promote the low-carbon technology upgrade in the refrigeration industry.

During the exhibition, Hitachi Central Air Conditioning also displayed the Villa Space Solution for the high-end home decoration market. Based on Hitachi Central Air Conditioning's global user big data model, the solution integrates refrigeration, underfloor heating, fresh air, dehumidification, and humidification systems, and the AI algorithm is self-running, self-perceiving, and self-processing, to create a comfortable eco-space for villa users. Three major technologies have been awarded the honor of “international leading” water source multi-connected units, Renesas photovoltaic multi-connected units and other products composed of low-carbon matrix, comprehensively adapted to industrial parks, ultra-high-rise buildings and other scenarios, multi-energy synergistic and AI energy efficiency management, to respond to diversified scenarios of the air demand.
