Academician Jiang Yi, Associate Professor Cao Bin, and Professor Yin Haiguo received the “Hikari Qisen Teaching Award”.
At the end of October 2024, during the 24th National Academic Conference on HVACR, the awarding ceremony of the 4th “Yan Qisen Teaching and Educating Award” was held. Academician Jiang Yi from Tsinghua University (Chairman of Editorial and Review Committee of HVAC), Associate Professor Cao Bin (2nd Outstanding Young Person in HVAC) and Professor Yin Haiguo from Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology (3rd Outstanding Young Person in HVAC) were awarded the prize. The “Yan Qisen Teaching Award” was jointly established in 2017 by the Teaching Guidance Sub-committee of Building Environment and Energy Application Engineering in Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Education (hereinafter referred to as the “Building and Environment Teaching Guidance Committee”) and Tongfang Artificial Environment Co. Six winners were selected in the first three years. Prof. Zhu Yingxin of Tsinghua University, Chairman of CECC, presided over the award ceremony. Prof. Zhang Huan of Tianjin University, vice chairman of CECC, introduced the selection method of “Yan Qisen Teaching and Educating Award”. Prof. Yao Yang of Harbin Institute of Technology and Prof. Feng Guogui of Shenyang University of Architecture, Vice Chairman of CECC, and Prof. Li Xianting of Tsinghua University, Secretary General of CECC, read out the award speeches respectively. Prof. Wu Dejian, a leading figure in the industry and the Honorary Chairman of HVAC Industry Technology Innovation Alliance, and Mr. Li Chengfu, President and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Tongfang Company Limited, awarded the medals to the winners together.
Academician Jiang Yi delivered a speech on behalf of the awardees, thanking the CCEA for its recognition and Tongfang for its firm support for the development of the construction and environmental protection profession for more than 30 years.
Prof. Yan Qisen (1931-2007) was a reputable scholar and educator in the field of HVACR, an academic leader in this field in China, and one of the founders of the program at Tsinghua University. Professor Yan Qisen has devoted his life to teaching and research in the field of HVACR, promoting technological advances, serving as the chairman of the Steering Committee of HVAC Programs in National Higher Education Institutions from the first to the third sessions, and as the founder and chairman of the first Higher Education Construction and Environmental Program Evaluation Committee, which has made great contributions to the development of the HVACR industry in China and the cultivation of human resources. In order to commemorate Professor Yan Qisen's lifelong dedication to education, the “Yan Qisen Teaching Award” has been jointly established by the CECSAC and Tongfang Artificial Environment Co. The HVAC industry recognizes the outstanding contributions to education and talent cultivation made by faculty members of higher education institutions. Whether it is a highly respected senior professor or a young teacher who has been striving for success, all of them are likely to receive this award.
